It is definitely a common thing for your computer to act strangely after some time that you have bought it. There are times when your computer may run so slowly and finds it a difficult task to carry out some programs as well as open your files. When this happens, it may automatically mean that something is indeed wrong with your system.

Scan For Errors
What you can do is first, have a very reliable scanning tool and scan for any errors and viruses that may be contained within your computer system. Make sure that you check all your hard drives and even within your system files because more often than not, you are unaware that you are letting these viruses and malwares to be stored inside your computer. These things are often being downloaded together with the files and programs that you tend to get from the internet.

Sometimes, you do not know it, but you already have downloaded a file with lots of virus in it. When this happens, this virus may act within your PC and may very well slow down its process. That is why you must make it a point to do scanning first to pin down if there are any viruses or malwares present in your computer system.

Change MSconfig Settings
Another very good option would be to alter your MS Configurations’ settings. These MS configuration’s settings will give you the different programs and files that are being processed in your PC.

You may not be knowledgeable of it, but there is an available option wherein it can automatically run upon computer startup. This only means that every time you turn on your computer, there is a program that will automatically open and do its tasks.

If that happens, such program will automatically eat up much of your computer’s usage. What you have to do is just go to Run> then type msconfig, and as soon as you see a window show up, simply go to Start-up. Make sure that you uncheck all the programs which you deem unnecessary during startup such as office, messengers, printers and much more.

Uninstall Programs
The last step on how to speed up your computer is merely removing from installation all the files and programs that now do not seem too important to you. Thesetypes of clutter may consist of expired programs or trial programs and even some games as well. These things only take up space inside your computer’s system and it is important to get rid of them.
