Canon Pixma inside out – the iP4200 Photo Printer

Thus you might have already heard regarding the new Canon Pixma iP4200 that’s doing the rounds in the computer hardware industry nowadays. Everyone is reviewing it, together with us.

Canon has been keeping mum over the longest-lasting-photo-prints discussion for someday now. Possible explanations embody the newly released Pixma iP4200, with built-in duplex printing; individual cartridges; two paper-input trays; simple operation; cheap; nice-looking photos; and one hundred-year print life. Epson, the leading contender for lasting prints, currently has competition. The key ingredient to long-lasting prints is Canon’s ChromaLife 100 ink set, included within the Pixma iP4200. The corporate claims that when used with their branded photo papers, photos printed using ChromaLife one hundred inks can last as long as 100 years when stored properly.

Compared with the iP4000, the iP4200 is less costly, faster for business applications, and offers additional longevity for photos. However, photos take a little longer to print and earn a lower quality rating than the iP4000, but the general balance of options makes for an spectacular package. (more…)

Xerox – Its Journey with Ink

Chester Carlson inventor of xerography founded the Haloid Company on April 18, 1935. The company manufactured and sold photographic paper! It had been based mostly in Rochester New York.

In the year 1942 Carlson received U.S. patent No. two,297,691 on Oct. 6 for electrophotography, later known as xerography, the technology that revolutionized the world of imaging.

Xerox as it is known these days was trademarked in 1948 when Haloid and Battelle Development Corp. announced the development of xerography. (more…)
